About the role

As an Enhance Rehabilitation physical therapy assistant, you will work under the guidance of a physical therapist to assist in treating patients. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient's needs, assisting patients through all phases of treatment, communicating with patients about their treatment, and documenting patient conditions and responses.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in treating patients according to an individualized plan of care developed by physical therapists.
  • Ensure that every patient receives quality treatment leading to excellent functional outcomes.
  • Develop and implement physical therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs.
  • Aid patients through all phases of physical therapy treatment and techniques.
  • Discuss treatment plans with patients and document patient conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each visit.
  • Communicate continuously with physical therapists, directors of rehabilitation, and facility staff.
  • Operate and apply knowledge of standard physical therapy equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
  • Passing score on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of standard physical therapy equipment and techniques.
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
