PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities

• Aid in planning, developing, and executing treatment programs for residents under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Document observations and progress in resident’s behavior and treatment in Progress Notes.
• Create and maintain statistical records and other departmental reports as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Participate in in-service training programs as needed.
• Assist with maintaining supplies and sanitation of equipment.
• Arrive promptly and consistently, and adhere to scheduled shifts.
• Utilize electronic timekeeping systems.
• Adhere to confidentiality protocols regarding resident information.
• Follow the facility’s dress code policy.
• Perform assigned duties in accordance with service excellence standards and the facility’s goals.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
• Held a current, valid New York State Physical Therapist Assistant License.
• Carried out current, valid CPR/BLS certification.
