Psychologist- Recovery and Self Motivation Program (RSM) (FSH)
Why You’ll Love This Position
FSH is known for evidence-based treatment and innovative practices. The Recovery and Self-Motivation Program (RSM) serves 75 clients within a high security setting and was overhauled and re-implemented in 2019. The program's population typically includes clients experiencing psychotic disorders or major mood disorders who may also have a primary or secondary personality disorder. Our primary focus is providing psychiatric rehabilitation through a nurturing and safe environment that fosters recovery. Our ultimate goal is to promote social connection and target prosocial values to help move these individuals toward self-management and reintegration into the community. The program treats these individuals using a combination of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Prosocial Principles, while incorporating Restorative Justice practices.
