Psychological Sciences - Full-time Faculty

About the Role

Full-time (24 credit load), tenure-track position in the Department of Psychological Sciences, including teaching, research, mentoring of undergraduate students, and service to the university. A clinical faculty appointment is also an option, with clinical work substituting for scholarly research. Courses are delivered predominantly face-to-face.

What You'll Do

• Teach some combination of core psychology courses offered in the major, and/or other courses in the specialty of the candidate
• Actively engage in either creating and implementing a research agenda; OR a clinical practice that engages your teaching
• Advise undergraduate students regarding their academic plans and career
• Mentor and advise student research projects or preparation for clinical professions
• Collaborate in departmental programming
• Serve on a university committee(s) as assigned
• Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline

Qualifications

Education: Ph.D., Psy.D., or ABD in Psychology or related field required

Experience: Teaching and research experience preferred

• Ability to teach core Psychology courses, in addition to other courses that reflect the candidate's specialty or the needs of the department
• Ability to engage with and mentor students
• Ability to implement a research plan and commitment to involving students in research projects; OR sustained clinical practice that contributes to the field and enriches teaching
• Commitment to exploring connections between psychology and the Christian Faith
• Ability and desire to support inclusive excellence in the University community
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively as a member of a team

Pay

We are open to hiring an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor for this position. The range for an Assistant Professor is $55,599 - $70,043, Associate Professor is $62,927 - $84,168 and Full Professor is $77,265 - $95,904. Salary and rank determined by education and experience.

Schedule and Work Location

This is an in-person position; remote work is not an option for this role.
