Psychiatry, Adult Inpatient

About the role

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine seeks an Attending Psychiatrist for their adult inpatient psychiatry unit. The ideal candidate will provide clinical treatment as part of a multidisciplinary team, supervise and train medical students and residents, and engage in mentorship and research.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered, and equitable care in an inpatient setting
• Participate in supervision and training for medical students and psychiatry residents
• Mentor and support colleagues and trainees in career and academic development
• Engage in research and contribute to the department's mission of excellence in patient care and medical education
• Opportunity to participate in faculty practice and cover evenings and weekends at three Bronx hospitals

Requirements

• Board Eligible or Certified in Psychiatry

Qualifications

• MD or PhD degree in Psychiatry
• Experience in adult inpatient psychiatry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
