Psychiatrist - Outpatient (Part-Time)

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a part-time Psychiatrist - Outpatient to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services, from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery. Opportunity Details 24-hour per week schedule; generally any 3 days Monday-Friday with flexibility to add 1-2 evening sessions weekly as outpatient evening services expand.Provide outpatient psychiatric care to adults age 18 and older, including geriatric patients.Participate as a member of the outpatient interdisciplinary treatment team and in team meetings.Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and intakes, ongoing psychopharmacologic treatment, appropriate outreach, treatment planning, risk assessment, and timely clinical documentation.Collaborate with Behavioral Health, Primary Care, and other services to promote continuity of care and movement to the appropriate level of treatment.Participate in quality, safety, and performance-improvement activities.Teaching and supervisory responsibilities for medical students, interns, trainees, and externs, as applicable, as part of the Behavioral Health treatment program.
