Psychiatrist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the Role

We are seeking a psychiatrist for inpatient, locum tenens coverage to treat adult male patients with a focus on mental health issues. The role involves on-site work with a caseload of 12-16 patients per day, providing assessment and treatment for a variety of mental health conditions.

This is a part-time position averaging 20 hours per week during day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients through assessments and diagnostic interviews
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Manage medications and adjust prescriptions as appropriate

Requirements

• Prescriptive authority
• Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry
• Comfortable working independently in a hospital setting
• Strong communication skills
