About the role
Provide full-time inpatient psychiatric care during day shifts, focusing solely on adult inpatient cases. The role is on-site, 40 hours per week, with no call or weekend requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric assessments
- Prescribe and manage medications
- Lead treatment planning
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team within units of 2-15 beds
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery
- Manage variable patient loads and ensure comprehensive treatment for psychiatric conditions
Requirements
- Board certification in psychiatry
- Prescriptive authority
