Psychiatrist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

Seeking a psychiatrist for inpatient care, primarily treating adult male patients with a focus on mental health issues. The position is on-site, part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) with a caseload of 12-16 patients per day. Shift type is day shift, and call responsibilities are negotiable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans
• Manage a caseload of adult male patients
• Prescribe medication and monitor patient progress
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality care

Requirements

• Medical degree with appropriate licensure and prescriptive authority
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric settings preferred
• Strong assessment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Suitable for clinicians with or without board certification

Schedule

Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week (day shift).
