Psychiatric Rehabilitation Worker

About the role

This role is part of a network of national and international affiliates dedicated to improving lives through innovative, responsive solutions. As a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Worker, you will work directly with individuals experiencing mental health and behavioral health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Provide recovery-oriented psychiatric rehabilitation services based on individualized service plans
  • Support consumers with daily living skills, medication education, budgeting, self-care, and supportive counseling
  • Maintain a small caseload (4-5 consumers) while promoting independence and personal growth
  • Accompany consumers to medical appointments and complete daily van runs
  • Build trusting relationships that encourage personal growth and success
  • Assist clients in overcoming barriers that may interfere with their ability to live productive and fulfilling lives
  • Administer medications in accordance with DPW standards
  • Respond appropriately to crises and support healthy relationships
  • Complete required documentation and maintain compliance with 2600 regulations
  • Collaborate with program staff while working independently as needed
  • Aid in light housekeeping, meals, and other hands-on support as required

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Associate's Degree with at least 1 year of experience in a human services-related field
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Qualifications

  • Clearances: PA Criminal Clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance (if applicable), FBI Fingerprint Clearance
  • Qualifications: Valid Driver's License
  • Exclusions: Not listed on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion lists

Pay

$19.00 / hour

Schedule

Full-Time; Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (flexible scheduling available)
