Qualifications
The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (PRS) Worker shall have one of the following:
- Bachelor's degree with current Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) Certification preferred;
- Bachelor's degree;
- An associate's degree and one (1) year work experience in mental health direct service;
- A Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certificate and one (1) additional year paid or volunteer work experience in mental health direct service;
- A high school diploma or GED and two (2) years' work experience in human services which must include one (1) year of mental health direct service.
Physical Requirements
Must have audio/visual/verbal capabilities to provide supervision for the clients and to perform essential job functions.
Emotional Requirements
Must have emotional stability to perform essential job functions.
Knowledge and/or Experience
Knowledge and/or experience with individuals diagnosed with serious and persistent mental health diagnosis.
Ability
- Ability to work as a team member;
- Ability to accept supervision;
- Ability to adjust hours to job requirements;
- Ability to work independently;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record is required;
- Ability to drive for work purposes including to client homes and to job site;
- Ability to identify with the agency's Mission Statement and support the agency's Core Values;
- Eligible for PA State Police Clearance, PA Child Abuse History clearance, and FBI clearance.

CORE COMPETENCIES
- Implement the daily schedule of the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services program.
- Conduct individual assessments and assist the individual with their recovery plan.
- Provide curriculum that will help individuals learn to become active in the community, gaining independence in use of public transportation, budgeting nd shopping, and accessing social, spiritual and recreational outlets.
- Instruct/coach and support individuals utilizing interventions and skills that support the individual client's recovery plan.
- Complete daily documentation of individual progress and curriculum/skills used in programming.
- Build relationships and communicate with Butler County Human Services providers and other community referral sources.
- Provide Supervisor with up-to-date information regarding on-going programmatic, quality, authorization and compliance issues.
- Participate in program development and required in-service trainings and workshops as requested.
- May be required to perform services in clients' homes after required training and orientation is met.
