About the role
As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse at Central NM Correctional Facility, you'll be part of a team providing quality, compassionate care to justice-involved patients. Your responsibilities include assessing physical and mental health needs, administering medications, guiding treatment plans, and supporting patient education.
Responsibilities
- Assess physical/mental health needs
- Administer medications
- Guide treatment plans from start to finish
- Mentor staff
- Respond to crises
- Support patient education
- Make timely referrals
- Maintain safety and standards across the unit
Requirements
- Active unrestricted RN license and 1-2 years of nursing experience (correctional experience preferred)
- Active CPR certification
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Adaptability in high-pressure settings
- A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care

Pay
The starting pay rate is $5000 with an additional sign-on bonus available.
