Psychiatric Nursing Assistant
About the role
We are hiring a Psychiatric Nursing Assistant for one of our clients in Terrell, TX.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a psychiatric mental health tech/aide
- Willingness to work at Terrell State Hospital, a mental health facility with patients that may have a dual diagnosis
- Absorption of rules, regulations, and policies of HHSC and Terrell State Hospital
- Absorption of staffing agency and TSH's attendance and leave policy
- Compliance with HHSC immunization requirements
- Submission to HHSC required drug test
- Submission to HHSC required fingerprinting
- Completion of facility and HHSC required training
Responsibilities
- Provide care for hospitalized psychiatric patients
- Aid in daily living activities
- Monitor vital signs
- Monitor for safety and respond to emergencies
- Perform computer data entry
- Comply with facility Standard Operating Procedures to meet standards for accrediting agencies; specifically, Joint Commission guidelines, CMS standards, TSH Policy and Directives and HHSC Standards, Rules and Directives
Pay
6:45 AM 3:15 PM: $X per hour
2:45 PM - 11:15 PM: $Y per hour
11:00 PM 7:00 AM: $Z per hour
Schedule
Shifts available: 6:45 AM 3:15 PM, 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM, 11:00 PM 7:00 AM
30-minute, unpaid meal break on each shift
Overtime Pay: Must be approved by Hospital and agency must be notified regarding this directive prior to starting the overtime shift
Benefits
Term: 6 months with option to extend
