About the Role

As a Territory Manager, you will effectively manage your assigned territory by conducting cold calls, building and strengthening customer relationships, and expanding the customer base. You will provide or facilitate technical and educational support, collaborating with Ring Power’s technical and training experts to enhance customer knowledge of products, services, and solutions. This role involves assisting managers in developing annual goals and objectives, submitting yearly territory forecasts and plans, and maintaining customer accounts, including credit levels and CRM records.

Responsibilities

  • Manage territory through cold calls, relationship-building, and customer base expansion.
  • Provide or facilitate technical and educational support to customers in collaboration with internal experts.
  • Assist in developing annual goals and objectives for the market, including specific accounts, products, or industries.
  • Develop and submit yearly territory forecasts and plans for managerial approval.
  • Maintain customer accounts, including credit levels, sales opportunities, and CRM records.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for parts and services programs, ensuring customers are updated on all offerings.
  • Manage fleet support, report customer opportunities and complex issues, and ensure resolution through proper channels.
  • Collaborate with Ring Power professionals across departments and divisions on marketing, sales, service, and operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong comprehension of written material and effective oral/written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to adapt to frequent changes in job requirements, including annual re-training.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales experience.
  • Industry or technical experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
  • CRM experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently (3–6 hours/day): Reaching, standing, sitting, walking, feeling, fingering, grasping, repetitive motion, talking, hearing, atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, poor ventilation), hazards (mechanical parts, electrical current, high places, chemicals).
  • Constantly (6–8 hours/day): Inside conditions (temperature variations), talking.
