PSS - Personal Support Specialist

About the role

Caregivers provide personal care support for children who need daily living assistance, under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs).

Responsibilities

• Assist children with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Support feeding and nutrition as directed by the care plan.
• Aid in mobility, transfers, and safe positioning.
• Follow structured daily routines specific to each child.
• Document care provided at each visit.
• Communicate any changes in the child's condition to the supervising RN.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment during every visit.

Requirements

• Experience working with children or individuals with complex care needs preferred.
• CNA certification a plus but not required.
• Pass a comprehensive background check.
• Reliable transportation and active auto insurance.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to consistent shift coverage.
• A compassionate approach and patience working with children.
