PS Nurse Practitioner, General Cardiology, South Jordan Healthcare

Job Summary

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a motivated individual to join their team with an emphasis in general cardiology. The position is outpatient clinic-focused, primarily located at the South Jordan community clinic.

Responsibilities

• Affords physical examinations and obtains medical histories to assess the physical condition of a group of patients.
• Formulates medical plans and prognoses based on patient conditions.
• Collaborates with healthcare teams on patient care plans and treatments.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient health issues.
• Initiates and/or recommends medical drug therapies or other forms of treatment in accordance with approved protocols.
• Maintains medical records and legal documents as required.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Counsels patients, families, and significant others on health and illness, and promotes health maintenance.
• Evaluates, plans, implements, and re-evaluates patient care, including emergency measures.

Qualifications

• Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Utah.
• Preferred certification in ACLS/BLS/NRP/ATLS.
• Utah State prescriptive privileges.
• Licensure obtained through a Master's degree in Nursing or equivalent and successful completion of a nationally accredited examination.
