Provisioning Engineer

About the Role

Hanwha Defense USA is seeking an experienced Provisioning Engineer to develop, deliver, and manage provisioning data and sustainment documentation for an Army ground vehicle program. This individual contributor role focuses on supply support analysis, labor and maintenance planning, technical documentation inputs, and initial provisioning data packages required to meet Army sustainment and lifecycle support objectives. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering and logistics teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and complete provisioning products throughout the system development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain provisioning data including supply support documentation, labor and maintenance requirements, and initial provisioning data packages for all vehicle subsystems.
• Analyze engineering data, design information, BOMs, and configuration changes to determine maintenance actions, support requirements, and provisioning impacts.
• Create and organize provisioning elements such as maintenance tasks, parts listings, labor standards, replacement factors, and cataloging data to support Army sustainment needs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Army and industry provisioning guidelines, including alignment with DI-SESS 81758A, DI-SESS, GEIA-HB-0007, DODM 4100.39, SAE-TA-STD-0017, MIL-HDBK 539, and GEIA‑STD‑0007 principles and related sustainment data expectations.
• Coordinate closely with engineering and logistics teams to validate parts data, maintenance procedures, supportability criteria, and configuration accuracy.
• Contribute to the development of provisioning technical documentation including inputs for RPSTL/IPB, maintenance planning, and other support products.
• Develop and manage provisioning data for supply chain, initial spares packages, and maintenance resource planning.
• Support provisioning activities such as provisioning conferences, engineering reviews, logistics working groups, and sustainment planning sessions.
• Participate in supportability analysis, maintainability assessments, and logistics data reviews to inform vehicle lifecycle support strategy.
• Maintain configuration control of provisioning products and ensure updates reflect engineering changes, test results, and program requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, data submissions, and documentation required for Army review and acceptance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Significant experience in provisioning, supply support, or logistics engineering for military platforms or defense systems.
• Strong knowledge of provisioning principles, maintenance planning, parts cataloging, and supportability analysis.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, maintenance data, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with Army logistics processes, sustainment planning, and provisioning documentation expectations.
• Strong collaboration skills with engineering and logistics teams in a cross-functional environment.
• U.S. citizenship required; security clearance preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting tracked or wheeled military ground vehicles.
• Background in LSAR/LSA methodologies or logistics database development.
• Familiarity with RPSTL/IPB development, maintenance task analysis, and provisioning conference operations.
• Experience developing provisioning data within a model-based or digital engineering environment.

The salary range listed for this position represents a good faith estimate of the base pay we reasonably expect to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on relevant skills, experience, education, certifications, market conditions, geographic location, and internal pay equity. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for discretionary annual bonuses, benefits, and other forms of compensation as part of Hanwha Defense USA's total rewards package.
