About the role

As a DevOps Engineer, you will join Turnberry’s Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today’s digital market.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems
  • Perform engineering design evaluations
  • Develop a range of products
  • Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix production software issues
  • Develop monitoring solutions, perform software maintenance, and implement solutions
  • Develop standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness
  • Make recommendations related to testing techniques and processes
  • Support the performance team for measuring wireless network performance including 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi
  • Develop and maintain testing strategy, test plans, and test cases for measuring overall customer experience
  • Collect logs and perform triaging of defects from iOS and Android device testing
  • Perform data analytics and visualization
  • Perform walk tests in the field to simulate customer experience use cases
  • Prepare test reports and presentations to show test findings
  • Coordinate debugging sessions between OEMs and engineering teams to investigate issues for resolution
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to deliver activities and tasks necessary for successful launch and achievement of business objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 6 to 8 years of experience in the field or a related area
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within DevOps
  • Experience automating software deployment using tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible
  • Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration
  • Ability to utilize and work with a variety of open-source technologies and tools
  • Experience with systems and IT operations
  • Data management skills with an emphasis on automation tools
  • Experience with revision control systems, including branching and tagging strategies using GitHub
  • Able to build strong relationships with QA and Software Engineers to maintain continuous delivery of critical systems
  • Experience provisioning and managing applications in both virtual and cloud infrastructures (AWS and OpenStack preferred)
  • Strong skillset in deployment and network operations, or sys-admin background in scripting and coding
  • Container experience in Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ability to adhere to all NDAs and work on confidential projects
  • Able to drive technical conversations with OEM partners regarding device defects and debugging

Pay

The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $140,000 or the hourly equivalent, based on factors including education, work experience, and certifications.
