What You'll Do
- Participate in code reviews, design work and troubleshooting across business functions, multiple teams and product groups to help communicate, document and address infrastructure issues.
- Look for innovative ways to improve observability, monitoring of large scale systems over a variety of technologies across the Numerator organization.
- Build internal-facing tools that demonstrate performance and operational effectiveness to improve training, adoption and understanding of common Software Development and DevOps challenges.
- Drive the team forward by helping refine and plan out tasks and epics during regular sprint planning.
- Expose the team and wider application teams to new tools and technologies when possible and to drive PoCs with third party vendors during the vendor selection process.
What You'll Bring to Numerator
- 4+ years of experience in cloud-based systems, working in DevOps, IT, Networking or Software Engineering positions.
- A passion for well architectured software and good understanding of software development practices specifically around reliability, availability and performance engineering.
- Working knowledge of networking, operating systems and packaging/build systems, databases and production-grade telemetry systems such as Sentry, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo and Mimir.
- Ability and knowledge of using AI coding tools such as Copilot and competency in pair-programming, skills and agentic pipeline design using these types of tools.
- Strong working knowledge of deploying services with advanced Networking, IAM Role-based access, Kubernetes preferably in a major cloud provider such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Ability to prototype initiatives using shell scripting and third party tools and specifically with Python and Golang.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and scrum-mastering where the candidate can manage multiple projects and features for internal projects and across different teams within Numerator and raise technical issues proactively within the organization.
- Ability to quickly learn and deploy Kubernetes based applications and third party services in AWS Cloud using a variety of tools including Terraform and Ansible.
- Mentor and provide support of tools and solutions to product teams looking for infrastructure solutions.
- Capacity to quickly create clear and concise documentation and build out solutions for technical and non-technical audiences including fellow team members, end-users and developers.
Undergraduate or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Security or Information Security.
