Dev Ops Engineer

You will work primarily as a software engineer, developing infrastructure-as-code solutions that require both software engineering and systems administration skillsets.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain AWS resources using CloudFormation and AWS SDKs (Ruby, Python, Java, NodeJS).
• Develop and manage Jenkins Pipelines using Groovy for continuous integration and deployment efforts.
• Build and maintain shared Jenkins libraries.
• Manage software installations using Puppet.
• Build, maintain, and orchestrate Docker containers using tools like ECS or Docker Compose.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper utilization of AWS and DevOps best practices.
• Support and mentor team members across varying skill levels.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph (required Day 1).
• 5+ years of AWS experience, including building resources with CloudFormation and interacting with them via AWS SDKs (Ruby, Python, Java, etc.).
• 5+ years of Object-Oriented Programming experience (Ruby, Python, Java, or NodeJS).
• Experience with Jenkins and creating Jenkins Pipelines, with a strong understanding of CI/CD best practices.
• 1–2+ years of experience with Docker and container orchestration tools (Docker Compose, ECS).
• 5+ years of Bash shell scripting experience.
• 2+ years of experience with GitHub and branching strategies.
• Familiarity with architectural best practices and a willingness to teach and learn.
• Strong teamwork skills to support multiple teams with varying skill levels.

Experience with AWS CDK is a plus but not required.

Pay

Salary range: $77,000–$163,000, commensurate with qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated expertise.
