About the role

The Provider Engagement Representative is responsible for providing high-quality support to customers, ensuring their inquiries and issues are resolved promptly and effectively while promoting Zelis products and services. This role involves handling customer interactions, maintaining accurate records, collaborating with internal teams to enhance provider satisfaction, and a full understanding of Zelis products. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-centric approach, and experience in a sales environment. This is a hybrid position requiring individuals to be in the Zelis St. Petersburg or St. Louis office 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively reach out to clients after a specified period if the product has not been utilized, addressing any outstanding issues they may have.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide support across various channels.
  • Contact clients to gather any missing information necessary for the successful usage of company products.
  • Assist customers using company products.
  • Engage with customers who have opted for company products, guiding them and addressing any questions they may have about the product.
  • Educate providers on the benefits of using Zelis products. Champion company products and solutions, driving adoption and utilization.
  • Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with privacy standards.
  • Follow up on both new and existing leads.
  • Identify client pain points, address objections, and present suitable product and service offerings that align with their business needs. The goal is to retain clients by providing tailored solutions.
  • Collect customer feedback through various methods to understand customer needs and preferences.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in provider support, customer service, or a related role.
  • Understanding of healthcare provider support processes and best practices helpful.
  • Salesforce experience helpful.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) software and other support tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.

Location and Workplace Flexibility

Zelis is headquartered in the U.S., with multiple locations across the country and in Hyderabad, India. All employee work locations are based on the needs of the position and are determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities vary based on work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies. While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed. Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.
