Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and prepare protein processing equipment for customer visits, product evaluations, and live demonstrations.
- Partner with engineering and applications teams during equipment testing, product development, and validation activities.
- Monitor equipment operation and identify any performance issues or improvement opportunities.
- Avoid equipment changeovers, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure showroom and work areas are presentation-ready before, during, and after customer events.
Protein Processing & Testing Activities
- Support processing activities involving meat, poultry, and other protein products.
- Prepare ingredients, raw materials, and finished products for testing and evaluation.
- Adhere to established food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
- Document results, observations, and testing outcomes to support equipment and product assessments.
Facility & Operational Support
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional showroom environment.
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients, packaging materials, and facility supplies.
- Aid in receiving, storing, and handling materials used throughout the facility.
- Provide operational support to ensure projects, demonstrations, and customer visits run smoothly.
Customer Support
- Serve as a professional and welcoming point of contact for customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Aid in demonstrations, training sessions, and equipment evaluations.
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere focused on delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Requirements
- Achieve an Associate's degree or equivalent experience in Meat Science, Food Science, or a related field.
- Show mechanical aptitude and ability to work with processing equipment.
- Display strong management of multiple priorities and work independently.
- Showcase strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Show knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Obtain a relevant Bachelor's degree in Meat or Protein Sciences, Process Engineering, or Equipment Design.
- Show experience supporting equipment demonstrations, pilot plants, test facilities, or customer-facing technical environments.
- Show basic troubleshooting and mechanical repair experience.
