Production Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Production Technician for our Tatum, South Carolina location. This is a full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Prepping paper rolls for the machine
• Operate and clean machinery
• Utilize cutting tools to remove packaging and create machine splices
• General housekeeping
• Other duties as needed

Requirements

• Maintain all safety expectations set forth by Domtar
• Work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Work weekly rotating shifts (8 hours 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift)
• Maintain a positive attendance record
• Follow policies & procedures
• Possess a desire for growth
• Meet or exceed goals
• Physical job capabilities including but not limited to lifting, pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time, etc.
• High school diploma or GED required
• English, written and spoken, is required
• Two years of manufacturing experience or secondary education is a plus
• Basic computer & communication skills
• Good mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Successfully complete a selection process that includes a structured board interview, background verification, fit-for-duty test, and drug screen

Schedule

Domtar Tatum operates an 8-hour rotating shift schedule Monday-Friday but could include overtime to meet business needs as necessary. All technicians work a weekly rotational shift of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.

Pay

$20.90/hour plus $1.00/hour applicable shift premium with the potential of an advancement in salary after 6 months of employment.
