Responsibilities
- Review security/protective design criteria, codes and standards.
- Develop security/protective design strategies in planning studies and design projects.
- Interface with client security personnel to review and refine design strategies.
- Cook up protective design solutions (AT/FP, perimeter security, vehicle entry control points, blast/ballistic resistance, electronic security systems, etc.) in support of a varied client base.
- Cook up construction documents (drawings and specifications) that comply with project criteria.
- Provide oversight and quality control of protective design reports and construction documents.
- Review Statements of Work (SOWs) and develop in-house proposals for protective design efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or BS/BArch in Architecture
- 11-15 years of relevant experience with security criteria (Department of Defense, Inter-agency Security Committee, etc.)
- 11-15 years of relevant experience with concept studies, design documents, and construction phase services
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect
- Experience with drafting and modeling software (Revit and AutoCAD)
- ASIS Protective Design Professional (PSP) certification
