What You'll Do
- Review and check tilt-up engineering lifting and bracing engineering details and panel construction shop drawings for accuracy and completeness
- Perform lifting and bracing engineering design
- Calculate bracing loads and capacity of walls, floors and anchor blocks to resist them
- Interact with technical engineers and non-technical operations personnel to integrate new technologies and update existing systems, as well as provide technical troubleshooting support to operations
- Interface with customers and salesmen as required to coordinate project priorities and schedule
- Review, check and correct shop drawings to include occasionally performing tilt up, lifting, and bracing engineering design
- Calculate reinforced concrete capacity to resist applied stresses from erection of tilt-up panels
- Establish and maintain standard procedures for shop drawings details
- Perform QA/QC for tilt up building projects
- Perform miscellaneous engineering functions as the need arises
What You'll Need
- Professional Engineer license considered a plus
- Ability to sit and stand for duration of shift, up to 8 hours
- Demonstrates dependability in work completion and flexibility in schedule to meet business needs
- Must be able to read Architectural and Structural Drawings/Specifications
- Good problem solving skills is a must
- Ability to work with other engineers, designers, and detailers
- Familiarity with structural analysis software is desirable, but not required
- Strong understanding of U.S. standards and building codes such as ACI, AISC, NDS, IBC and ASCE
- AutoCAD and Microsoft Office knowledge required, REVIT preferred
