About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced prosecutor to review and prepare cases for presentation to the Grand Jury.

Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare cases for presentation to the Grand Jury
  • Work with and prepare law enforcement witnesses for testimony in front of a Grand Jury
  • Answer legal questions asked by Grand Jurors
  • Aid in reviewing cases to make charging decisions
  • Comply with all rules regulating professional responsibility
  • Cover court and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited and ABA-approved law school
  • Three years of experience as an attorney practicing criminal law or six years of experience as an attorney practicing in any other area

Other Requirements

  • Must be admitted to practice law and be in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona by the time of hire
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license upon hire
  • May require overtime availability to respond to after-hour inquiries

Pay

$102,000 - $148,500 annually

Salary offers are based on the candidate's equivalent experience and internal equity with other employees within the same job classification.

The position is not eligible for overtime compensation.

Schedule

Working Conditions
Courtroom setting in a high volume, fast-paced environment with frequent stressful situations.
May require extended periods of sitting while completing paperwork, standing, and moving about while performing duties.
