Attorney II
Responsibilities
Represent St. Louis County in civil litigation matters.
Handle personnel/employee discipline.
Handle commercial and residential tax hearings and appeals.
Prepare legal opinions.
Negotiate, review, and prepare contracts, including real estate transactions.
Provide legal advice and guidance on record requests.
Handle third-party subpoenas.
Handle workers' compensation matters.
Handle other appropriate matters required of the County Counselor's office as set forth in Article V of the Charter.
Perform related work as required.
Requirements
- Possess a Juris Doctor degree from an American law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
Be currently licensed as an attorney by the Missouri Bar Association.
Have at least one year of related work experience as a practicing attorney.
