Proposal Manager- Naval Business Unit

Responsibilities
- Manage the Business Unit’s major proposal responses from receipt of qualified RFxs (RFIs, RFQs, or RFPs) through to final submission.
- Become the Business Unit’s de facto Bid Manager for any front-end efforts that arise from ongoing customer dialogue.
- Support development of proposal strategies, storyboards, win themes and content.
- Prepare business development and project-specific presentations utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint and various other graphic tools.
- Cook up proposal efforts with various internal teams as required (Supply Chain, Contracts, Subcontractors, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Human Resources).
- Monitor status of proposal development as it relates to documents for completeness, compliance with RFx requirements, and inclusion of win themes and discriminators.
- Works with Executive Management, Sales, and Engineering to develop fully compliant, highly successful proposals.
- Database management for initiation of proposal creation and progress tracking.
- Manage proposal pipeline and forecast database, including managing and updating proposal tracker (Salesforce).
- Coordinate pricing meetings and secure internal approvals as needed.
- Continuous improvement on company's published proposal process.
- Assembling the deliverable proposal package, including all required supporting data.
- Report performance metrics for proposal progress, including on-time delivery per the Bid Manager/RFx.
- Develop metric for tracking OTD % of all Business Unit quotes and proposals to review trends vs. past performance.
- Key figure in researching and analyzing spare parts / aftermarket business.
- Capturing lessons learned during lifecycle of proposals.
- Contribute to process improvements in relevant areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
- The ideal candidate has a minimum of five (5) years of experience with proposal administration and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal procurement practices.
- Demonstrate appropriate business acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrent proposals with minimal oversight.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong documentation and timeline management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrent proposals with minimal oversight.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM is highly desirable.
- Experience with Epicor ERP is highly desirable.
Qualifications

Pay
Pay Range: $87,600 - $98,900 per year
Schedule
Position entails occasional exposure to typical manufacturing environment. Business office environment requiring use of telephone and personal computer (provided by company). High demand fast-paced office environment. Work calmly and professionally under pressure to meet deadlines or company commitments.
