Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and submit management, technical, cost, etc. proposals in response to customer requirements, solicitations, and requests for quotation (RFQs)
- Manage proposal activities to include development/management of schedules, compliance matrices, proposal templates/annotated proposal outlines, kick-off meetings, and color reviews
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain proposal inputs and supporting data
- Aid in preparing proposal documents, pricing support materials, customer responses, and other business development and proposal documentation
- Support the communication/coordination of business forecasts across Contracts, Production, Operations, and Program Management to promote alignment on anticipated workload and customer demand
- Maintain proposal files, templates, historical data, and other supporting documentation in SharePoint for future business opportunities
- Support continuous improvement of proposal processes, tools, and templates to improve efficiency, quality, and consistency
- Perform other duties as assigned
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ability to quickly learn software application packages used by the various projects
- 5+ years proposal work experience (e.g., desktop publishing, production, etc.) supporting response to Government solicitations
- Demonstrated knowledge of Cost Proposals, including direct/indirect pricing build-up
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet extremely aggressive deadlines and production schedules
- Ability to work effectively (adaptable and flexible) in a fast-paced corporate environment, sometimes with minimal specific guidance and/or technical information
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with internal and external SMEs and apply professional SME interviewing techniques
- Demonstrated experience completing projects in accordance with project plans and schedules
- Ability to effectively work as a member of a cross-functional team
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Security Clearance
- Ability to understand how factors gleaned from research and information provided by SMEs relate to customer requirements, typically in relation to new contract or task order pursuits.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to operate a computer and other standard office equipment
- Ability to occasionally move files and materials weighing up to 15 pounds
Pay
The salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $110,200.00. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education and training, job-related knowledge and skills, the scope and level of responsibility of the position, internal equity, and market/business considerations. The listed range is a general guideline and may vary based on the selected candidate's qualifications and work location, where applicable.
