About the role
The Security Coordinator – Level 3 position at Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Sector in Redondo Beach, CA supports missions critical to national and global security. This role requires interaction with internal and external customers, and exposure to classified and sensitive unclassified information.
Responsibilities
- Provide multi-disciplined Security support for a variety of classified programs and customers
- Conduct training sessions and administer clearance and special access briefings
- Maintain records and databases
- Cook up and drop-off classified mail
- Safeguard classified materials
- Oversee the daily operation of classified work areas
- Process visit authorizations for employees and guests to gain access to restricted areas
- Provide direct assistance and support in areas of Program (FSO/CPSO), Personnel (PERSEC) and Physical Security
- Monitor, maintain, and verify information in various security databases to ensure systems are up to date and procedural/regulatory requirements are met
- Answering telephones
- Scheduling meetings and conferences
- Setting up and maintaining various files
- Conducting training and other briefing
- Providing direct daily security support to classified programs
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience
- Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
- Current active Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree

- Work with minimal direction and supervision to support the security program
- Work additional site locations at management’s discretion
Skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance
