About the role
A Proposal Coordinator for construction projects leads the development of bids (RFPs, RFQs) from Go/No-Go to submission, ensuring compliant, competitive, and high-quality proposals. They coordinate technical teams, estimators, and managers to create winning strategies, timelines, and content for heavy civil, commercial, or EPC projects.
Responsibilities
- RFP Analysis & Strategy: Review solicitation documents to build compliance matrices, define win themes, and develop proposal strategies.
- Project Management: Create and manage the proposal schedule (color team reviews) to ensure timely submission.
- Content Development: Lead the creation of technical approaches, management plans, and past performance sections.
- Coordination: Direct cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, estimating, and subconsultants.
- Quality Control: Edit and produce final documents for accuracy, compliance, and formatting.
- Post-Submission: Manage client Q&A, prepare for presentations/interviews, and conduct debriefs.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in proposal management, specifically within the construction, engineering, or heavy civil industry.
- Understanding of design-build (DB) and construction management (CM) delivery methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe InDesign, and proposal management software (e.g., SharePoint).
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or Construction Management.

Pay
Competitive base salary: $97,500 – 130,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location). Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits.
