Role
This contract-based, hourly consulting position is ideal for someone with deep expertise in New Jersey’s property tax protest system who can serve as a trusted advisor during our early market entry. There is also potential for this opportunity to evolve into a mutually beneficial partnership as we expand our property tax offering in New Jersey.
What You’ll Do
- Regulatory Insight: Clarify state statutes, administrative processes, and compliance obligations for property tax protests.
- County-Specific Knowledge: Advise on local nuances and requirements for major counties throughout New Jersey.
- Filing Processes: Guide us on when and how to file petitions (TRIM notices, deadlines, evidence, etc.), including both online and paper submission requirements.
- Hearing Procedures: Share insights and best practices for preparing and navigating protest hearings.
Who You Are
- Have direct experience in New Jersey’s property tax ecosystem, whether through your own practice, as part of a firm, or within local government.
- Are deeply familiar with county-specific procedures, deadlines, and rules, especially in New Jersey’s five largest counties.
- Are an innovative thinker, able to find new approaches while fully adhering to local guidelines.
- Are available to consult with our team on an as-needed, hourly basis via phone or Zoom.
