Role

This contract-based, hourly consulting position is ideal for someone with deep expertise in Georgia’s property tax protest system who can serve as a trusted advisor during our early market entry. There is also potential for this opportunity to evolve into a mutually beneficial partnership as we expand our property tax offering in Georgia.

What You’ll Do

As our Property Tax Appeals Consultant, you will support Abode Money’s team by providing:

  • Regulatory Insight: Clarifying pertinent Georgia statutes, administrative processes, and compliance obligations for property tax protests.
  • County-Specific Knowledge: Providing guidance on the local nuances and requirements of major counties.
  • Filing Processes: Advising on how and when to file petitions (including TRIM notices, deadlines, evidence requirements), and distinguishing between online and paper submissions.
  • Hearing Procedures: Offering insights into hearing processes and best practices for protest preparation.

Who You Are

  • Have direct experience in Georgia’s property tax ecosystem—either through your own practice, an established firm, or local government office.
  • Possess deep knowledge of county-specific procedures, deadlines, and regulations, especially within Georgia’s five largest counties.
  • Approach challenges with innovative thinking while adhering to local statutes and guidelines.
  • Are available to consult on an as-needed, hourly basis by phone or Zoom.
