Role

This contract-based, hourly consulting position is ideal for someone with deep expertise in Illinois’s property tax protest system who can serve as a trusted advisor during our early market entry. There is also potential for this opportunity to evolve into a mutually beneficial partnership as we expand our property tax offering in Illinois (Cook County).

What You’ll Do

• Regulatory Insight: Clarifying Illinois statutes, administrative processes, and compliance obligations for property tax protests.
• County-Specific Knowledge: Advising on local nuances for major counties, with a focus on Cook County.
• Filing Processes: Guiding us through how and when to file petitions (e.g., TRIM notices, deadlines, evidence), and explaining requirements for online vs. paper submissions.
• Hearing Procedures: Sharing best practices on the hearing process and effective protest preparation.

Who You Are

• Have direct experience in Illinois’ property tax system—through your own practice, an established firm, or a government office.
• Possess deep knowledge of county-level procedures, deadlines, and regulations, especially for Cook County.
• Are an innovative thinker who combines creative problem-solving with a strong commitment to regulatory compliance.
• Are available to consult on an as-needed, hourly basis via phone or Zoom.
