Property Facultative Underwriter

Everest Reinsurance Company is seeking a Property Facultative Underwriter to join their dynamic team. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with ceding companies and reinsurance intermediaries, underwriting new business and renewals, and collaborating with various internal departments.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain direct and intermediary business relationships
- Underwrite new business and renewals
- Adhere to underwriting rules and guidelines
- Develop strong customer relationships through excellent service
- Work with claims, accounting, and product management teams to support company objectives
- Travel to assigned markets and territories for marketing purposes
- Maintain awareness of competitor capabilities and strategies, and the broader insurance marketplace
- Experience with catastrophe models and specialty business is preferred
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5 years of property underwriting experience, including large accounts
- Excellent marketing skills and established relationships with insurance companies
- Strong interpersonal and writing skills, with the ability to work in a team environment
- The ability to interpret engineering reports and catastrophe modeling and actuarial methodologies
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Qualifications
- Experience working with catastrophe models and specialty business is preferred
- Property Facultative experience is preferred
- Experience with power generation, mid-stream production, refining/petrochemical, specialty chemicals, renewables, and mining is preferred
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $145,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications, and work location.
