Property & Casualty Data Analyst
What Will You Do?
Federated Insurance is seeking a highly personable and technical Data Analyst to advance our claims data capabilities. In this role, you will build trusted, automated data solutions using SQL and DBT to support ad hoc analysis and reporting in Excel, Python, and Tableau, while forming strong partnerships with claims professionals and technical teams. You will also have opportunities to perform statistical analysis in Python and continue developing your data science skills.
Success in this role will require strong data modeling practices, attention to data governance, and the ability to communicate effectively across business and technical audiences.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in Owatonna, MN, requiring candidates to live in or commute daily to the area. This is not a remote position.
Minimum Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience
- At least 3 years of experience in an analyst or similar role, demonstrating strong analytical skills, effective communication, problem-solving ability, strategic thinking, and project management
- Strong understanding of Data exploration and analysis techniques, KPI design and performance monitoring, and Presenting analytical insights to non-technical audiences
- Experience with statistical software and programming languages commonly used in data analysis
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical or complex information in a clear, understandable way
- Able to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels, clients, and other stakeholders
- High level of integrity, with the ability to handle confidential business and personnel information appropriately
Pay Range
Pay Range is $80,300 - $108,700. Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc.
