Property Accountant

We are looking for a Property Accountant to support a Financial Services organization in San Francisco, California on a Contract assignment. This role will focus on preparing a detailed operating budget for a 61-unit condominium property, with an emphasis on building reliable revenue and expense projections in Excel. The position is well suited for an accounting specialist who is comfortable working independently in a smaller office setting and can deliver accurate budgeting insights within a short-term engagement. Responsibilities: • Develop a comprehensive budget for a 61-unit condominium property by organizing projected income and anticipated operating costs. • Create clear financial models in Excel to support forecasting, variance review, and budget planning activities. • Analyze historical financial information and current property data to produce realistic revenue and expense assumptions. • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather property-specific inputs and confirm the accuracy of budgeting details. • Translate financial findings into organized schedules and summaries that can be reviewed by management. • Use QuickBooks as needed to reference accounting records and validate information that supports the budgeting process. • Manage priorities effectively in a short-term assignment while maintaining accuracy and meeting expected deadlines. • At least 3 years of accounting experience, including work tied to property or real estate portfolios.• Hands-on experience preparing budgets and financial forecasts for property-related operations.• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build and refine financial models efficiently.• Familiarity with Appfolio and the ability to work with accounting data from that platform.• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when evaluating financial activity and assumptions.• Ability to work independently in a small office environment and adapt quickly to business needs.• Clear communication skills for presenting financial information and coordinating with stakeholder Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
