Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day accounting, such as journal entries and review AR
- Review coding accuracy in APPrepare and analyze financial statements for multiple properties on an accrual and cash basis
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
- Ensure timely delivery and accurate financial reports to internal stakeholders, managers, and lenders
- Prepare/maintain supporting schedules for the financial statements
- Maintain general ledgers and ensure accuracy of all financial transactions
- Strong knowledge of lease administration and CAM estimates/reconciliations
- Utilize Yardi software for property management and accounting tasks
- Aid with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Cook with property managers to resolve financial discrepancies
- Support external audits and tax preparation processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience preferable in real estate/property management
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency with Yardi preferred
- Advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines
- 3+ years of Real Estate experience
