Propane Service Technician (CDL B)- Hiring Bonus

About the role

Lakes Gas is seeking a propane Service Technician for a local route, home every night, Class B CDL position. The role involves customer service, sales, servicing, inspecting, and installing propane tanks, cylinders and appliances at residential and commercial sites.

Responsibilities

• Pump out tanks, remove and relocate tanks
• Perform outside equipment inspections
• Rout, secure and install gas lines and piping
• Set and install tanks and meters
• Assist in the upkeep of company vehicles, tools, and plant
• Deliver propane to customer's accounts as needed

Requirements

• Valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) without air brake restrictions
• A clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card
• Accurately perform basic mathematical calculations
• Must have the ability to read, write, and clearly communicate
• Able to detail all service work performed in company work orders
• Comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements
• Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets
• DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years
• Knowledge of NPFA 54 related to gas piping and appliance installation including combustion air and flue gas venting requirements
• Maintain compliance with all DOT requirements

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to pull delivery hose
• Must be able to bend, climb, reach, and rotate as needed
• Filling, loading, securing and delivering propane cylinders or bulk

Skills
