Propane Delivery Driver (CDL B) - Hiring Bonus

About the role

Family owned for over 60 years, Lakes Gas is among the largest propane providers in the Midwest. At each of our 60+ locations we operate with a small‑town, local feel, employing people who live in the communities they serve. We are seeking a Delivery Driver for a local route (home every night) with a Class B CDL.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first‑class customer service.
• Maintain and upkeep company and customer equipment, including plant maintenance activities.
• Inspect vehicles and notify supervisors of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
• Operate and maintain handheld tablets for delivery documentation.
• Fill, load, secure, and deliver propane cylinders or bulk propane.
• Perform DOT Hazmat training and maintenance every three years and maintain compliance with all DOT requirements.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, lift up to 75 lb, pull delivery hoses, and perform bending, climbing, reaching, and rotating as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Class “A” or “B” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain them) without air‑brake restrictions.
• Clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and clearly communicating in English.
• Compliance with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Safety‑conscious and customer‑service oriented attitude.
• Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets.
• DOT Hazmat training and renewal every three years.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather, lift up to 75 lb, pull delivery hoses, and perform bending, climbing, reaching, and rotating.

Pay

$25.00 per hour to $27.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full‑time.
