Propane Delivery Driver (CDL B) - Hiring Bonus

About the role

Family owned for over 65 years; Lakes Gas is among the largest propane providers in the Midwest. Despite its size, each of its 60+ locations operates with a small‑town, local feel, employing people who live in the communities they serve. Join the team as a Delivery Driver on a local route, home every night, requiring a Class B CDL.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first‑class customer service.
• Maintain and upkeep company and customer equipment; perform plant maintenance activities.
• Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
• Operate and maintain handheld tablets.
• Fill, load, secure, and deliver propane cylinders or bulk.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Lift up to 75 pounds; pull delivery hose; bend, climb, reach, and rotate as needed.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain them) without air‑brake restrictions.
• Clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card.
• Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in English.
• Comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Safety conscious and customer service oriented.
• Complete DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years.
• Maintain compliance with all DOT requirements.
