Propane Delivery Driver (CDL B) - Hiring Bonus

About the role

Family-owned for over 60 years, Lakes Gas is one of the largest propane providers in the Midwest. We operate with a small-town, local feel across 60+ locations, with employees who live in the communities they serve. As a Delivery Driver, you’ll handle a local route, returning home every night. This is a Class B CDL position focused on delivering propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing top-tier customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane and propane-related products to residential and commercial customers.
• Provide first-in-class customer service during deliveries.
• Maintain and upkeep company and customer equipment.
• Perform plant maintenance activities.
• Operate and maintain handheld tablets for route and delivery management.
• Inspect vehicles and report needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance to supervisors.
• Comply with all DOT requirements, including Hazmat training and maintenance every three years.
• Fill, load, secure, and deliver propane cylinders or bulk propane.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Requirements

• Valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain them) without air brake restrictions.
• Clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Compliance with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Safety-conscious and customer-service-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and pull delivery hose.
• Ability to bend, climb, reach, and rotate as needed for job duties.

Pay

$25.00/hr to $28.00/hr.
