Promotions & Special Events Supervisor - Philadelphia

About the role

Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia seeks a Promotions & Special Events Supervisor to plan and implement all on- and off-property promotions and events that drive rated play, stimulate slot and table games, and create a warm, welcoming, and exciting guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the entire life-cycle of promotions and special events—research, planning, implementation, evaluation, and analysis—using both internal and external resources.
• Organize promotions and events such as slot and table tournaments, dinners, gift giveaways, and tier-based promotions to boost play.
• Create a spontaneous, high-energy atmosphere for every program.
• Communicate, measure, and report the effectiveness of each program.
• Collaborate with other department directors and managers to plan, evaluate, and execute initiatives.
• Source and acquire vendors and resources that meet operational and budgetary needs.
• Manage a team of Coordinators and Representatives, including training, development, performance management, and staffing for each event.
• Interview and hire new team members based on company values.
• Maintain and balance the annual departmental budget.
• Travel to off-site locations and networking events as needed.
• Promote and practice excellent public relations and customer service.
• Adhere to company core values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Two to five years’ experience in promotions and special events within a high-volume hospitality business; casino industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB).
• Ability to work a flexible, irregular schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including irregular schedules and multiple tasks/deadlines.
• Ability to work in an environment where smoking, alcohol, bright lights, and noise are present.
• Ability to walk up and down stairs to the casino floor.
• Ability to thrive in a 24/7 high-energy environment.
