JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with all aspects of property promotions and is familiar with all marketing activities and events, both on property and community events
- Completes all promotional paperwork in a timely manner and places it in the appropriate files and locations
- Provides overall backup and support to the marketing department with planning, implementing, and monitoring marketing campaigns
- Ensures promotional signage is current
- Engaging with guests through answering questions, addressing comments and interacting with people on the gaming hall floor
- Has a working knowledge of the property and keeps management informed of any misinformation or outdated material
- May assist with purchase requests, purchase orders, and check requests for the Marketing team
- Researches and negotiates with vendors to ensure the best pricing on marketing collateral/materials
- Affords assistance in creating and proofreading all departmental invitations, signage, and other printed materials
- Completes basic photography of promo set ups/winners
- Affords assistance in assembling monthly promotion binders
- Promptly and professionally answers in-bound telephone calls, directs sales calls, and takes/delivers messages appropriately
- Orders marketing office supplies and other materials, as needed
- Affords assistance in tracking approvals, checking for accuracy on all variable data and cross checking against the target lists and database
- Affords assistance in social media content across various platforms monitoring comments, mentions, messages and engaging with guests. May help to develop ideas for organic content
- Might be accountable for maintaining and updating entertainment schedules, contact log, confirming booking dates and times, ensuring entertainment guidelines are received by all new entertainment acts
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or general education (GED) is required
- Related experience is preferred
- Basic Microsoft Office skills are required and knowledge of modern office equipment is desired
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills are necessary
- Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks
- Internal candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Promotion and Transfer Policy
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including day, swing, late night, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
