Promotions Assistant (On Call)

Bonneville Sacramento is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the promotions team. The position involves supporting station promotion departments on remote events, special projects, and in-office tasks such as data entry, front desk coverage, and event recaps.

About the role

This is an onsite role requiring regular attendance at client locations and station/community events. Hours and shifts vary based on scheduled events, which can range from 10 to 20 hours per week, with high and low demand seasons. The position may require driving station vehicles and posting on digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide event prep/set up/staffing/tear down at station events and remote broadcasts
• Interact with and engage brand audiences, clients, and hosts in a positive manner
• Drive station vehicles
• Potential for posting on digital platforms/social media
• General in-office duties such as data entry and clerical tasks
• Prepare signage, promotions, giveaways for events, clients, and partners
• Avoidance of contest fulfillment and other special projects
• Support on logistics, setup, and takedown for remote and station events
• Implement knowledge of all Bonneville brands at station events and interactions with listeners

Requirements

• Flexibility to work weekday, weeknight, and weekend shifts
• A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and exceptional customer service skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and perform assigned duties on schedule
• Follow written and verbal instructions under limited supervision
• Solve problems, bring solutions, and prioritize tasks
• Work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Reliable, responsible, dependable, and able to fulfill assignments on time
• Experience with photo and video editing software and WordPress is a plus

Physical Demands

• Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication
• Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
• Extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination
• Walk or stand for periods of time while assisting at offsite events
• Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds consistently; up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Set up 10x10 tent on your own
• Be flexible with work environment, i.e., working outdoors in any condition, at festivals, local businesses, etc.

Compensation

The compensation range is $20.40-$21.00 per hour, with the hourly rate determined by an evaluation of the applicant's qualifications and internal and external benchmarks.
