Promotions Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist with everything from in-office support such as preparing and executing on-air, online, and on-site contests, contacting winners, processing winner paperwork to working live events, appearances, and remote broadcasts.
• Absorb responsibilities for setting up, breaking down, and transporting promotional event equipment as required.
• Create, execute, and fulfill on-air and online promotions, contests, and prize fulfillment.
• Set up and run audio and other types of equipment during an event.
• Hang banners and other staging elements at events.
• Assist with the capturing/filming/editing of videos/content to be distributed through our stations social media channels as well as used for sales/promotions recap videos for each event.
• Fulfill winner release forms and other waivers when needed for prize fulfilment and an event.
• Maintain promotional equipment and vehicles in a clean and neat manner.
• Check email; attend mandatory meetings on time; be able to work weekends, holidays, and blackout dates (specified by Promotions Director/Manager).
• May need to work with little notice.
• Work in a fast-paced and upbeat environment.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude, and willingness to learn and be a team player.
• Ability to drive company vehicles to and from events.
• Ability to lift and/or carry equipment (50 lbs).
• Professional appearance and punctuality.
• Reliable and dependable mode of transportation.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 or older.
• A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
