About the role
As our new Project to Cash Accountant, you will play an important role on a team delivering environmental and sustainability services. You will handle billing, accounts receivable, revenue, and reporting in a fast-paced environment, requiring excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and process management.
Responsibilities
- Execute the monthly invoicing process in accordance with the billing cycle and project contracts.
- Work with project managers and accounts payable to code consultant invoices, credit card charges, employee expense reports, and petty cash receipts.
- Collect invoice backup as required by contract and submit invoices to clients per the contract schedule.
- Research and resolve billing inquiries or issues from project managers and external clients.
- Prepare project performance reports for leadership and review Work in Progress (WIP) with the Project to Cash Supervisor.
- Meet with project managers to determine when WIP will be invoiced and assess any risks.
- Monitor and resolve accounts receivable issues to maintain positive project cash flow.
- Communicate effectively with clients to collect outstanding accounts receivable.
- Support acquisitions with gap analysis, revenue review, billing review, AR review, collections, and system migration data.
- Perform other general accounting duties and tasks as requested.
Requirements
- 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure within limited timeframes and prioritize multiple projects/deadlines.
- Highly detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy, follow-through, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to work both within teams and independently with limited supervision.
- Strong customer service skills and commitment to producing results.
- Experience with Deltek VantagePoint.
- Experience working for a professional consulting services firm with project finance experience.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $80,000. Final agreed-upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.
