Project Support Specialist

About the role

The Project Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the Project Management team. This position will assist multiple project managers in successfully managing projects including providing administrative support, material planning, logistics, purchasing support and outage support. The primary function of this role will be project integration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Management team
• Assist with configuration management and project closeout in project management software
• Coordinate field labeling activities
• Coordinate integration of projects into plant operations and maintenance programs (i.e., Lockout-Tagout database, preventative maintenance, etc.)
• Assist with contractor bid packages
• Assist with managing purchase orders
• Arrange meetings with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors
• Use business software applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, NERC/environmental checklists, risk registers, agendas, minutes, etc.
• Implement project setup in both accounting and project management software
• Generate financial reports and assist with monthly forecasting
• Gather required approvals for invoices for processing through Accounts Payable

Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of basic project management principles
• Project related work/school experience
• Demonstrated to Working Knowledge in Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving
• Demonstrated to Working knowledge in project related Scheduling / Cost Controls

• Collaborative Team Member
• Ability to work with individuals in various organizations ranging from individual contributors to Department Leadership

Schedule

Onsite position, generally 40 hours/week. Local candidates preferred. Occasional travel for site visits may be required. Personal vehicle or company vehicle may be used for travel.
