Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the oversight of subcontractors and construction workers, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
- Help support and organize site logistics to optimize workflow and minimize disruption to project schedules.
- Cookier logistics and storage of materials and equipment.
- Serve as a communication liaison between the Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent, subcontractors, and site workers.
- Aid in identifying and resolving on-site issues and conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the enforcement of safety protocols and procedures to maintain a compliant and hazard-free work environment.
- Participate in regular safety meetings and site inspections, helping to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Aid in ensuring all site activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate daily logs of site activities, including work progress, safety incidents, and material deliveries.
- Aid in preparing and submitting project status reports, flagging delays or issues as they arise.
- Aid in the preparation and submission of required project documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: High School Diploma/GED; bachelor’s degree in construction management, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in construction.
- Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams) preferred. Ability to use engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or others preferred. Excellent organizational and time management skills. High level of attention to detail, and highly organized. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees. Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude. Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office).
- Language Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to communicate in Mandarin, preferred.
- Additional Requirements: Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license. May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions.
