About the role
The Project Superintendent (PS) manages the construction process for the project. They are responsible for safety, quality, scheduling, and coordinating with trade partners and regulatory authorities.
Responsibilities
- Safety planning and enforcement of all project, governmental, and company safety regulations and requirements
- Drive Hensel Phelps' safety culture on the project
- Ensure all quality control measures are met
- Develop and execute the project schedule
- Collaborate with project staff and trade partners to develop, update, and manage the schedule
- Manage and train company field work personnel
- Maintain project control systems to accurately reflect current project status and forecast projections
- Develop and maintain relationships with the owner, architect, engineer, and trade partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management
- Minimum of 7-8 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel based templates, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite
Physical Requirements
- Moderate Work
- Occasionally move up to 50 pounds of force, frequently up to 25 pounds, and constantly up to 10 pounds of force
- Periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type
- Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer
- Frequently exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind
- Occasionally exposed to high and low temperatures
