Project Superintendent - Oak Ridge, TN

About the role

The Project Superintendent (PS) manages the construction process for the project. They are responsible for safety, quality, scheduling, and coordinating with trade partners and regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities

• Safety planning and enforcement of all project, governmental, and company safety regulations and requirements
• Drive Hensel Phelps' safety culture on the project
• Ensure all quality control measures are met
• Develop and execute the project schedule
• Collaborate with project staff and trade partners to develop, update, and manage the schedule
• Manage and train company field work personnel
• Maintain project control systems to accurately reflect current project status and forecast projections
• Develop and maintain relationships with the owner, architect, engineer, and trade partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management
• Minimum of 7-8 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects
• Valid Driver’s License
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel based templates, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite

• Moderate Work
• Occasionally move up to 50 pounds of force, frequently up to 25 pounds, and constantly up to 10 pounds of force
• Periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type
• Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer
• Frequently exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind
• Occasionally exposed to high and low temperatures
